Electrostatic epoxy coating insulation

Insulation of sheet stacks prior to coiling

Description

This insulation method is used to insulate electrical components and surfaces by applying an epoxy coating using an electrostatic process.

This coating protects the copper coils that will be installed once the part has been covered.

This process is comprised of several steps: the rotor is placed in an oven to prepare the surface for the epoxy powder. The rotor is then electrically charged in order to receive the epoxy powder, before hardening in an oven between 180 and 220 degrees.
